What is meditation? I have been using this method for 36 years. In this method, as I am doing in the beginning, you have to sit for half an hour and start to observe your thoughts. You have to look at the flow of your thoughts. Do not give any idea what you have learned from any teacher or from any realign or from any traditions. Just observe the very place of the thought where from it starts. This is the actual meditation. You will see that your lifestarts to become peaceful and blissful. Just you will find eternal peace if you will give ideas, which are thoughts also you miss the point. In this process, we want to still the mind. By thinking of providing views, more thoughts will be there. Meditation is ‘ just watching ‘, not interpreting or giving ideas. and in your life, there will be no anger, lust, anxiety fear etc.

Grace
One’s ignorance of the self-revealing immediacy of divine grace is no proof of the contrary. If the owl doesn’t see the sun that illumines the whole world, Is the fault of the sun? It is not due to the defectiveness of the bird’s sight?; Maharishi Ramana.
The mind.
The mind becomes quiescent by regulation of breath, like a bird caught in a net. This is means of mind control; Maharishi Ramana.
Comments; if one cannot do watching of mind he can watch his breath. Mind and breath come from the same source of life. it is very clear.
Mind control.
The merging of mind and breath is ‘Dhyana’ and it leads to the natural state when it becomes deeper and firm ; Maharishi Ramana.
Comments; when with your practice mind starts to merging in the self or by watching the flow of breath it leads you to your natural state. This is also self-realization.

Mind
The body is insentient; the self does not rise. within the body’s limit, an ‘I’ rises between the body and self. It is named ‘ego’, ‘knot of matter and spirit’ , ‘bondage’, ‘subtle body and ‘mind’.; Maharishi Ramana.
Comments; These words are not from an ordinary person; the words of Maharishi come from “Samadhi’. Maharishi lived in eternal bliss every time. it is the state of self-realization. mostly he lived in silence. but sometimes, for the people who reached there and asked some questions then, he used to speak a few words for their spiritual growth. so, as I understand these words. Our body works with the light of self. Otherwise, it is “jade ( insentient). As an electric fan can not work without electric current likewise our body takes conscience from self or “Ataman” and can do its functions. As yogis said that “I’ which is called “ego’ rises between the body and self which is called a ‘knot of matter and spirit.’ this is mind, subtle body or Jiva.
Grace
Grace is always there. Grace is the self. It is not something to be acquired. All that is necessary is to know its existence. In the same way, the sun is pure brightness. It is there and shines, and you are surrendered by sunlight: still, if you want to know the sun, you have to turn your eyes in the direction and look at it. Similarly, grace is only to be found by effort, although it is here and now.—Maharishi Ramana.
Comments; The words are very clear but without practicing self-inquiry we can not understand it.
Grace
1; we can’t attain realization of the self by our mind unaided by God’s grace.; Ramana Maharishi.
It’s is very right for self-realization God’s grace or Guru’s grace is very helpful. Without God’s grace we can never attain it this is M.R. advising us.
Silence.
The silence of a realized person is most powerful. He sends out waves of spiritual influence which draw many people towards him. yet he may sit in a cave and maintain complete silence . He never needs to go among the public. if necessary, he can use others as his instrument.; Maharishi Ramana.
Comments; Meaning of M.R. Is that silence is a most spiritual influence. here we should understand it is mentally silence is also. When our wandering mind becomes silent by self-inquiry, then it touches the eternal bliss. it is very powerful . He may sit in the cave or in a room in a crowded place it is the same.he sends his spiritual waves toward other people, and can convert other people. If it is needed, we can use any other as his instrument.
Silence
The highest form of grace is silence. It’s also the highest spiritual instruction……All other methods of instruction are derived from silence and are therefore secondary. Silence is the primary form. If the Guru is silent the seeker’s mind gets purified by itself. ; Maharishi Ramana.
Maharishi Ramana was a Saint who did not like discussion. He usually spoke very few words. He did not speak for four years and remained in silence. After that, he used to speak a few words and remained in samadhi. Often any devotee who came there at the Arunachala cave feels eternal peace of his grace. Paul Brunton who was a journalist from England came to visit him during the year of 1925. He has written so many questions in his notebook. But when he sat in front of Maharishi Ramana his mind forgot everything and emerged in Samadhi. He wrote the book ‘ A Search in Secret India ‘ which is a very famous book everybody has to read this book.
