Can there be the feeling of ‘I’ without that exists always ?

Free from thoughts , it exists in this being, the Heart.

February 24, 1936.

An American Dr Henry hand questioned “What is ego’?.

Answer: ego is inside, not outside, you have to clear it for yourself.

What is its definition?

Answer by Maharishi: The definition of ego will be not separate from ego.

Q: what is the ‘ Self’ (soul)?

A: Search for‘ego’ you will find the Soul.

Q: Then both are one?

M: self ( ataman) can stay without‘ego’ , but ego’ cannot stay without the self.

Devotee: now it’s clear.

An other American questioned about’ Thoughts,

Maharishi: If you search for, the origin of thought which is’I’ then thoughts will disappear and a new dimension will be appear witch is the Self in the form of ‘ bliss’

Mind

The body is insentient , the self doesn’t rise. Within the body’s limit ,an ‘I’ rises, between the body and self. It’s named ‘ ego’ knot of matter and spirit, ‘bondage’ ( Subtle body) and mind: Maharishi Ramana.

Grace

One’s ignorance of the Self-revealing immediacy of the divine: Grace is no proof of the contrary. If the owl doesn’t see the sun that illuminates he whole world, is it the fault of the Sun? Is it not due to the effectiveness of the bird’s sight? : Maharishi Ramana.
