Samadhi

Holding on the reality is Samadhi

Holding to Samadhi with effort is savikalpa Samadhi.

merging in the reality and remaing unaware of the world is nirvikalpa samadhi.

Merging in the unconsciously and remaing unaware of the world is sleep.

remaing in the primal ,pure.natural state without effort is sahaja nirvikalpa Samadhi.

Verse 21

The I thought is the first to die for those who have taken refuge ,out of fear of death, at the feet of the conqueror of death, therefore they are ,naturally immortal. can they ever again be assailed by the fear of death?—Maharishi Ramana.

Wastage of energy.

Man is trying all the time to become non-violent. So there is a conflict between,” what is “which is violence, and ‘what should be ‘ which is non-violence. There is a conflict between the two. That is the very essence of the wastage of energy. As long as there is a conflict between the opposite, man has not enough energy to change. So if we can not in abstraction but actually, put aside completely all ideas and only deal with the fact — which is violence — then there is no wastage of energy. This is really very important to understand. ; J. Krishnamurti.

Comment; for meditation, we need more energy and when we give ideas, in a traditional way or try to escape from violence, anger, and jealousy it becomes a gap between the Observer and the thing that is observed and it is a waste of energy but if you look directly at it it becomes transformation.

How will the mind become quiescent?.

Maharishi Ramana; by inquiry “Who am I” the thought “Who am I”? Will destroy all other thoughts, and like the stick used for stirring the burning pyre will itself in the end get destroyed. Then, there will arise Self-realization.

Self -realization

When perception of the name and form ceases, there is the vision of the self. This is also the vision of God and Self is the same.—Maharishi Ramana.

Comment; when we look at the mind it starts to merge in the self which is the vision of the self or God. This is the meaning of Maharishi Ramana.

Be aware

As I am sharing my views with you who are interested in ‘ Dhyana’ or meditation. Mediation is not concentrated on any figure and name like japa it is only as Maharishi Ramana gave the word Self-inquiry.

We should look over our minds meaning our thoughts. No problem how many thoughts are coming into our minds. And you will find that this chain of thoughts will start to minimize. And when any thought comes to our mind trace its source. Then if a thought appears then mentally question oneself,” To whom do these thoughts arise? And the answer will be to me. The question will be ‘Who am I?’ by repeating this method mind will get the skill to stay in the source. And what you will find that is beyond the language. It is bliss or liberation.

I am doing this method and I suggest you to do this because this mental observation will provide you eternal peace which is our real demond. Our all demands are based on this.
