Upadesa Saram verse 2, by Ramana Maharishi.

The fruits of action are transient. Action causes one to fall into the ocean of further action. It obstructs the goal.

This post carries a deep meaning. Mostly, Karma-yoga has meaning: performing work without desiring any type of fruit. Shankaracharya, in his words in the Bhagavad Gita (Shankaracharya’s comments on the Gita), describes his ideas that by Karma you can not get liberation. It will cleanse your sins, and after purification of your mind you will be able to abide in the Self by Sammadhi.by Dhayana.(meditation). By non-object meditation, you will be able to find the experience of bliss. Ordinary people think everything is Karma-yoga.

But there is one thing to understand: some saints even start to teach karma-yoga, as S. describe it, that they do for the rest of the people. So if a janni does it after enlightenment, the purpose is only to help an ordinary human. Maharishi’s statement of Maharishi is very clear: the fruits of action are transient. Action causes one to fall into the ocean of further action. It obstructs the goal. Shankaracharya defines this subject briefly in his Shancrybash.
