Mind and world

Even though the mind and the world rise and set together, it is the mind that lights the world.

The source from which the world and the mind rise and into whichich they set is the reality, which does not rise or subside.

Maharishi Ramana.

Comment: When our mind goes outside the meaning of worldly objects, we feel pleasure and pain. But when it goes inward, it emerges into reality. This stage is of Samadhi.

Eternal peace.

The saints of India used to say that Samadhi and deep sleep are the same. In deep sleep, there are no Thoughts, and we feel freshness but don’t understand due to illusion.

In the Samadhi, when we observe, our thoughts start to be deleted or minimised. Then, we can find the experience of ‘bliss’ or stat-chart-ananda. But it’s not an illusion. We see it with full awareness. It is effortless to understand.

Dhammpada

Do not use bad words. Control your language,as it is considered durachary(misbehavior). Be mindful of your words.Abandon the misbehavior of your language in your activities. — Dhammpada Krodhworg( Chapter of Anger) part 12.

Self-inquiry

Question to Maharishi Ramana.

Devotee; What is the use of Samadhi?

Answer; Samadhi, and only Samadhi, has the exclusive ability to reveal the self. Our thoughts act as a veil, obscuring our true nature.that is why other methods fall shorts in this regard .In the vison of samadhi ,only the pure essence ‘I am’ remains.

Comments; My teacher Saint Nikka Singh ji ,told a story. Vad Viasa was a scholar, he studied so many holy books. He has translated Upanishads and defined The Bhagavad Gita as believed when Sri Krishana spoke only seven solakas because it was a time of battle. Vad Visya wrote seven hundred Solaks of that idea. One day he was confused that I had not crossed the ocean of ignorance. becuse ‘Moha’ attachments were there. and still felt pleasure and pain.So he went on a spiritual journey to understand this confusion.on the way ,he met to Narda and asked him.He suggested that he should go to Sanaka and Sanandna ,who were seven brothers, who lived in the Himalayas in meditation. He went there.

He told them his problem .They asked to Vad Visya what he had studded ? He told them his very knowledge of Spiritual books. They said,” The knowledge which you have is of ‘Upra” Knowledge (knowledge of language) or wordily knowledge. but for this ,you have to learn ‘Para’ knowledge which is knowledge of meditation or Smadhi. Then he stayed there and started to do meditation.

Need for practice

your practice is meant not to allow yourself to be distracted by other thoughts ; Maharishi Ramana.

Comments; it is not possible to achieve eternal peace which is our real nature , when our thoughts are going on. so we have to practice the method of Self-inquiry for stillness of our mind.in peaceful mind we can got puffs of bliss.

Guru

The Guru is both external and internal. From the exterior he gives a push to the mind to turn it inwards. From the interior he pulls the mind inwards. from the interior he pulls the mind towards the Self and helps in guiding the mind. That is Guru’s grace. There is no difference between God,Guru and Self; Maharishi Ramana.

Sat – Darshanm

On the rising of the ego everything rises and with its subsides all subside. The ‘ego’ is therefore all and tracking is the way to victory over everything….. Maharishi Ramana.

Comments; As Maharishi describes that ‘ego’ or ‘I’ thought is the source of all the problems. because ,Jiva, Samnsara, or esharwa all will subside when source of its found.when mind will be quite then a new diamenion will be found which is bliss.

Sat- Darshanam

without the,’I’ the second and third person can not exist.

When the ‘I’ subside through inquiry about its source ,

The second and third persons too disappear, our natural state ,shines forth….Maharishi Ramana.

Comments; It looks very simple but it is very meaningful. as maharishi describing his own experience. when we trace or watch the source of ‘I’ of the thoughts which is mother thought. every type of thoughts starts from ‘ I’ thought.and when we watch this place then every thought emerges in the self and our natural state shines as bliss.
